Giving Week and Giving Tuesday

 

Giving Tuesday, also known as #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by harnessing the power of social media and showcasing the power of collaboration. Giving Tuesday launched in the U.S. in 2012 and inspires people around the world to gather and give back to causes that they are passionate about. Company-wide, over 1,770 volunteers participated, marking the largest single week for participation on our history!

 

Wynn Las Vegas had 558 volunteers at Feed the Funnel events, packing 204,000 meals benefitting Three Square, US Vets, Catholic Charities, The Shade Tree, Just One Project, and Veterans Village. With progressive and innovative thinking, Wynn Las Vegas hosted a weeklong initiative tailored Giving Week, to combine volunteerism and fundraising. Cumulatively, $15,070 was raised for the Wynn Employee Foundation via various fundraising events.

 

Wynn Las Vegas’ Giving Week also included:

  • December 2nd’s Le Reve Benefit performance raised $146,650 for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Foundation
  • Sold out fundraising events for the WEF: Wynn Golf Club Experience, Cookie Decorating Master Class, and Pizza Making Master Class
  • F&B pastry chefs hosted a specialty bake sale on December 6th
  • December 7th ended Giving Week with 150 volunteers participating in the Great Santa Run benefitting Opportunity Village

 

Encore Boston Harbor had 212 volunteers at Feed the Funnel events, packing 83,760 meals benefitting Bread of Life and Everett Grace Food Pantry.

 

Wynn Macau had nearly 1,000 participants leading up to and during Giving Tuesday events. Volunteers visited five community centers bringing holiday decor and distributing scarves previously crafted by employees. On Giving Tuesday, volunteers participated in Christmas Gift Packing with Fuhong Members for the Pou Lei Centre of Fuhong Society.
